Join the Choir in Glorifying God Through Music

      Anytime is a great time to join the Chancel Choir at Southminster. The year has brought changes to our choir membership and we always welcome new members and we particularly need them now. There are no auditions required and senior high youth may join as well.

    The Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursday nights at 7:30 pm and provides musical leadership at the 11:15 am worship service. Our Director of Music Ministry, Scott Bonasso, chooses a variety of styles of music and Jyung Kim makes us sound wonderful with her skillful organ and piano accompanments.

    St. Augustine wrote “Whoever sings (to God in worship) prays twice.” Come and sing with us and discover the truth in the words of the hymn:

“How often making music, we have found
A new dimension in the world of sound,
As worship moved us to a more profound
Alleluia!”
